Classical Education
In all its levels and teaching, Blackburn Study Center seeks to:
- Emphasize grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric in all subjects.
- Grammar: (through grade 6) The fundamental facts and rules of each subject, and basic data that exhibit those rules.
Dialectic: (grades 7-9) The ordered relationship of particulars in each subject
Rhetoric: (grades 10-12) The coherent, articulate expression of truths learned in the grammar and dialectic stages.
- Encourage every student to develop a love for learning and live up to his academic potential.
- Provide an orderly atmosphere conducive to the attainment of the above goals.
